Meet The Board
The Kennesaw State Alumni Association is governed by a 17-member Board of Directors. Five Officers and 12 Board Members serve the initiatives of the University and represent the perspectives of a diverse alumni community.
Officers
William ‘Billy” Hayes currently serves as President of the KSU Alumni Association. He received his undergraduate degree from Jacksonville State University in Accounting and Finance and earned an Executive M.B.A. from KSU in 2001. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Northside Hospital-Cherokee since 2004. Prior to healthcare, Billy began his career in the transportation industry and continued for seven years in various financial positions ranging from Controller to Chief Financial Officer. In 2006, Billy was recognized with the Distinguished Alumni Award by the Alumni Association.
Teronzo Helm serves as Vice President for the KSU Alumni Association. He is a graduate of Missouri Institute of Technology with an Electronic Engineering degree and Kennesaw State University with a M.B.A. in 2002, graduating with honors from both schools. He has served in various professional and executive roles at Hewlett Packard since 1983 and currently serves as a Global Business Critical Systems Unix Operations Manager, Worldwide at HP. He is presently a member of the advisory executive education board and a member of the Executive MBA Student Alumni board at KSU.
Bil Lako is the Financial Secretary/Secretary of the KSU Alumni Association. He is the Managing Director and Principal of G.W. Henssler & Associates, Ltd. and Henssler Asset Management. LLC. He earned a Bachelor in Business in Finance in 1995. He was named on the Atlanta Five Star Wealth Managers list in Atlanta Magazine in 2011. He is among the 2% to represent the licensed wealth managers in the Atlanta area.
Linda Caldwell currently serves as the Past President of the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association. She received her Accounting degree from Texas Tech University and her Masters in Business Administration from KSU. A professional with more than 25 years in the accounting and auditing field, Linda is the Audit Officer for WellStar Health System. Linda is a current member of the Healthcare Leadership for the Healthcare Section of the Georgia Society of CPAs, and the regional Executive Committee of the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors.
Lisa Duke is Director of the Office of Alumni Affairs at Kennesaw State University. She joined the Alumni Association Board in October of 2008 and serves in a liaison capacity between the Association and University Administration. Immediately prior to her role with the Association, Lisa served as Director of Development for the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State. Her expertise lies in the government, non-profit and education sectors.
Kip Meeboer is a Director-at-Large for the KSU Alumni Association. He graduated in 1990 with a Masters of Business Administration. Kip is a veteran of the United States Navy and continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol, the Civilian Auxiliary to the United States Air Force. Professionally, he serves as the Director for Special Projects and Business Development for Verdant Energy Solutions, Inc. Kip is a SCUBA Advanced Open Water Diver and Airline Transport Pilot.
Keith Thomas currently serves as Director-at-Large for the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association. In 2010 Keith earned his Master of Business Administration degree at Coles College of Business. Keith’s diverse career has provided experience and international exposure in several industries including R&D, software development, banking, Federal government, insurance and telecom. He is employed with AT&T where he designs and creates networks for one of the largest telecommunication companies in the world. Keith and his family currently reside in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Amanda Seals serves as a Director-at-Large for the Alumni Association. She is a graduate of Young Harris College with a degree in Journalism and earned her B.S. degree in Media Communication from KSU in 1997. She currently serves as the Executive Director for Government Relations for the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. Over the past decade, she has served as the Director of Communications for the State Senate, the State Department of Education, and the Georgia Department of Community Health.
Ashlie Wilson is a Director-at-Large for the KSU Alumni Association. A recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award, Ashlie graduated from KSU with a degree in Communications in 1996. She has been the President of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences since 2011. She currently holds the position as Senior Staff Producer at Georgia Public Broadcasting in Atlanta. She has earned awards such as 2011 Georgia Trend Magazine, “40 Under 40: Georgia’s Best and Brightest” and the 2005 Southeastern Regional Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Achievement: Television Specialized Programming Excellence.
Board Members
Aaron Blowers is a Director-at-Large for the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association. He is a 2007 graduate of the College of the Arts where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Directing. Aaron is the Owner of AIO Consulting Group. Additionally, he has maintained his passion for theatre and performance and continues to serve in a variety of directing and acting roles regionally, nationally and internationally. Aaron also serves as lead singer for the group, AudioPeep.
Brad Borum is a Director-at-Large for the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association. He earned his Masters in Governmental Administration at KSU in 1998. Currently, Brad manages governmental relations at Kaiser Permanente overseeing legislative affairs and public policy. In addition to his work with the Alumni Association, Brad also serves as a member of the Board of Directors with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
Brian Cohen currently serves as a board member for the KSU Alumni Association. Brian earned his Executive MBA degree from KSU, his Six Sigma Green Belt certification and his Managerial Coaching certification. He is President and Chief Executive Officer of BRC Associates, Inc., which he founded in 1992. Additionally, Brian serves as president of the Atlanta chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, as well as a board member of the Executive Director’s Advisory Council at Henry W. Grady Health System Foundation.
Steven Ellis is a Director-at-Large for the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association. He is a 2003 graduate of the University’s Political Science program. While attending KSU Steven was the SGA President for the 2002-2003 school year. Following his KSU experience, Steven attended John Marshall Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2007. Currently, he is an assistant solicitor general in Cobb County. Steven is a member of the Cobb County Bar Association and is active in local and state politics.
Thomas Hughes serves as a Director-at-Large for the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association. Graduating with two degrees in Marketing and Finance at Florida State University, he continued his education at KSU and completed his MBA in 2008. He currently serves as Chair of the Advisory Board for the Coles College of Business. His accomplishments further by being selected into the Beta Gamma Sigma international honorary society in 2009. Professionally, Tom is the President and part owner of National Electronic Attachment, Inc. and Medical Electronic Attachment, Inc.
Barbara Lusk serves as a board member for the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association. Graduating from KSU in 1995 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Barbara has 35 years of experience in the areas of for-profit and non-profit HealthCare accounting, budgeting, and financial planning. She is currently employed as the Controller for WellStar Health System, Inc. in Marietta, GA. Additionally, she is an advanced member of the GA Healthcare Financial Management Association and a charter member of the KSU chapter of Delta Sigma Pi.
